Born and raised in Marin County, CA. I competed in gymnastics for a number of years to an elite level. Eventually I chose softball as my sport and it is what took me to college. I made the all-region teams every year for both offense and defense. I graduated from Wellesley College near Boston, MA in 2008 with a BA in Medieval History. My senior year I found triathlon and began my racing in spring of 2008. In 2009 I entered a Tuesday Night Twilight Crit in Santa Rosa, CA and was hooked. 2010 was the first year I made bike racing my priority and have loved every minute of it. My strengths lie in my sprint power and jump; although I am working to become a... more »
"I was born and raised (and currently attend school) in Nebraska. Yes...like the pancake flat Nebraska in the middle of the country! We do have a few parking garages and the overpass over I-80 to do hill intervals on, but that's another story. I attend school at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where I am a senior mechanical engineering major. Cycling came about 6 years ago with my brother Tim. Back then I admired everything he did (since he was older and much cooler than me!) and wanted to ride bikes as soon as he said he wanted to ride bikes! Matt Abbott is Autouri's first sponsored rider . Matt has been with Autuori for 2 years ...  33 year old Cat 3 racing for Red Peloton. After years of bike commuting, Matt saw the San Francisco Grand Prix in 2005 and was inspired to try  racing out for himself; he’s been addicted to it ever since. His goals are to take first place in a time trial and a road race and upgrade to Cat 2 before he turns 35. Matt gives back to the cycling community by volunteering at the Tuesday Night Twilight Criteriums in Santa Rosa during the normal racing season and can usually be seen riding his Autuori 874 up Pine Flat or the Geysers in Healdsburg. When he’s not... more »
A third generation San Franciscan on both sides, raised in the north bay. Worked as a ballroom dance instructor, and at an auto body shop to work my way through college. Didn't own a bike till I was 21, now I have many. Didn't take riding serious  until I was put on heart medication. Started riding with people who are stronger and was eventually taken off medication. Being a business owner doesn't allow time for much riding, so when I get out on the weekend I try to get the most out of it. A natural sprinter, with little miles in the legs, I have to race super smart to be able to contest a sprint. Just up graded to a 3, and would like to see how far I can go... more »
